Moxon's painting "Gerald at 95" was selected from 2,274 entries as one of the 30 artworks judged as outstanding and awarded a Certificate of Excellence at the 24th Annual International Portrait Competition 2022.
The Portrait Society of America writes "Our goal in creating our annual exhibition is to display some of the finest portrait and figurative work being created today and to inspire and energize artists from all over the world. The jurors used the following established criteria when reviewing each image over a 5-day period:
· masterful skill in the chosen media
· originality and uniqueness in the concept and design
· aesthetic sophistication and
· cultural significance"
